I work
in the same style as the old master painters. In this piece
I went so far as to borrow their color palette, so I often
refer to it as my "tribute to the Old Masters". The colors
of the mourning dove are so beautiful, and they look so soft
when they are puffed up against the cold, I couldn't resist
painting this bird in the bit of snow. I fell that the back
light combined with the light reflected from the snow adds
to the beauty of the piece. |
