While
much attention has been focused on the wolf reintroduction
in Yellowstone Park, the Mexican wolf reintroduction program
has not fared as well. Slightly smaller than their northern
cousin, the gray wolf, these beautiful animals once roamed
our southwest states, and it is my hope that they too can
be successfully reintroduced to the wild. At the moment, it
seems they do, indeed, have a long road home.
